3. After receiving the acceptance from the institution, you should apply for your student visa to travel to Malaysia for studying.

4. Complete the whole student visa process and get the approval of it.

The education system in Malaysia

The education system in this country is divided into five different categories.

* Preschool education
* Primary education

Study in Malaysia requirements?

You can apply online for any university for your choice in Malaysia. So, once you finalise the university you can go through their application requirements. Here are some of the basic documents you will require:

A scanned copy of your diploma
A transcript/record of your previous courses
A valid passport
Your birth certificate
Your C.V or Resume
Language test scores(IELTS, TOEFL, PTE)
International standardised test scores(SAT, ACT, GMAT, GRE)
Statement of purpose
2 or 3 Letters of recommendation
Portfolio of your previous work

Language requirements

In Malaysia, courses are mainly taught in English. Hence, you must be able to communicate in written and spoken English should you wish to study in Malaysia. Some universities also require you to take an English proficiency test like TOEFL or IETLS, which you can take in your home country.

To enter Malaysia as an international student, you must first choose a course offered by a Malaysian higher education institution. Their requirements vary, so be sure to check first before you apply.

Your university is required to submit some relevant documents to apply for your Student Pass. The documents they will request are:

An official letter of acceptance from your university
A completed student application form
Three copies of your passport-sized photo
Two photocopies of your passport
A copy of your medical health examination report

Once your application to the university is accepted, the university will apply for a student pass for you. The immigration will look at this application and send you a Student Pass approval letter.

With this letter, you are ready to travel to Malaysia! But before you send details of your flight to the university, you first need a Special Pass (from the immigration department) in order to receive your Student Pass. Within two weeks after arrival, you can visit the nearest Immigration Department to receive your Student Pass.
